Here is an outstanding opportunity to be the Deputy Base Civil Engineer (DBCE) at Laughlin AFB, TX (LAFB). The primary purpose of this position is to provide continuity in the management of the installation's Civil Engineering functions. Along with the Base Civil Engineer, the DBCE shares the full scope of responsibility for managing the activities of the 47th Civil Engineer Squadron and its five flights. You will support one of the first installations receiving the T-7A Red Hawk NexGen trainer aircraft, driving a $115M construction bed down as part of a $1B HAF acquisition program, the 4th busiest airfield in the Air Force, and JTF Southern Border.

Employment Type: Permanent, Full-Time
Benefits: DNRP is authorized, and PCS cost will be paid IAW KCP Policy, JTR and Air Force Regulations. A Relocation Incentive is authorized.

The position is centrally managed by the Civil Engineer Career Field Team, and the employee must sign a mobility agreement as a condition of employment.

Responsibilities
* Serves as the Deputy Base Civil Engineer at an Air Force installation with responsibility for providing, operating, and maintaining highly complex infrastructure and facilities necessary to create and sustain responsive and effective combat operations on a global basis.
* In the CE Squadron Commander's absence, fills the role as Deputy Commander.
* Exercises supervisory personnel management responsibilities.
* Represents the CE Squadron with a variety of installation organizations and outside agencies.

* Must be a current, permanent CE career field employee.
* Signed mobility agreement (MA) is required; position is limited to 36-60 months.
